民國47年9月獨立設校為彰化縣土庫國民小學，創校57年，期間歷經十一任校長，歷任校長均積極建設校園，逐年增建教室並建置電腦教室，兒童遊樂器材場所，整建活動中心，改善教學環境排水工程，蔚成有規模，有發展的學校。
民國一百年八月楊巽斐校長就任第十一任校長，延續優質教學理念，積極致力於校園各項軟硬體建設：建置教室內資訊教學系統，班級建置互動式白板，提供教師進行資訊教學。並建置社區閱讀中心，成立詹知能先生紀念文庫，要使孩童有最佳的閱讀環境，積極進行多元活動課程，如陶笛、和太鼓、扯鈴、小提琴、科學活動......等，要使孩童有快樂的童年，在充實課業外，也要能具備各項技能以面對未來的世界。
